MPC Container Ships Reports Q2 2026 Results
Oslo, Norway, 26 August 2026 - MPC Container Ships ("MPCC" or the "Company", Oslo Børs Ticker: MPCC), today announced its results for the second quarter of 2026, reporting another quarter of consistent operational performance underpinned by a substantial contracted charter backlog and continued progress on its fleet renewal program.

- Quarterly recurring dividend of USD 0.04 per share
- Continued robust operations with high fleet utilization of 98.8% (Q2 2025: 97.6%) and adj. average TCE of USD 24,951 per day (Q2 2025: USD 26,247)
- Operating revenues of USD 116.9 million (Q2 2025: USD 137.9 million) and EBITDA of USD 95.4 million (Q2 2025: USD 107.4 million). EBITDA adjusted for non-recurring items was USD 65.0 million (Q2 2025: USD 80.7 million)
- The balance sheet remains solid, with 30 debt-free vessels and a leverage ratio of 28.4%
- The Group’s fleet consisted of 65 vessels, with an aggregate capacity of approximately 186,000 TEU, of which 17 were newbuildings on order. One of the newbuildings was delivered in August.
CEO Constantin Baack comments:
"The second quarter was another quarter of consistent performance and a reminder of the value of contracted visibility in a market that remains volatile and hard to predict. In our segment the market stayed firm, with tight supply of modern tonnage and resilient demand from intra-regional trade and continued supply chain disruptions. Our fleet renewal strategy is delivering results, and our long-term charter coverage provides as a natural hedge that secures earnings independent of market swings. With a contracted revenue backlog of USD 2.2 billion and coverage extending well into 2028 and beyond, visibility has become one of our most valuable assets."
Co-CEO and CFO Moritz Fuhrmann added:
"We continued to advance our fleet renewal on a sound financial footing. We secured a new USD 375 million senior secured term loan to finance ten of the newbuildings ordered last year, and shortly after quarter-end completed an oversubscribed USD 107 million private placement that restored balance-sheet flexibility and brought in a number of new investors. Our balance sheet remains conservative, with moderate leverage and a significant portion of the fleet debt-free, positioning us to pursue further value-accretive opportunities for our shareholders."
The results will be presented in an earnings call at 08:00 CEST on 26 August 2026, followed by a Q&A session. The earnings call can be accessed through the following link: MPC Container Ships Audiocast Q2 2026.
