Constantin Baack has served as CEO of MPC Container Ships ASA since foundation of the company in April 2017.
Mr. Baack commenced his career in the marine operations department at Hamburg Süd in Sydney before moving to Ernst & Young within auditing and transaction advisory out of Hamburg and Shanghai. In 2008, Mr. Baack joined the MPC Group in Hamburg where he has since held various senior management positions in Germany and abroad, including Managing Director of Ahrenkiel Steamship, Head of Shipping of the MPC Group and CFO of Frankfurt-listed investment and asset manager MPC Capital AG.
Mr. Baack studied business administration in Hamburg and Sydney. He holds a Graduate Diploma and a Master of Science in international business from the University of Sydney.Close
Dr. Benjamin Pfeifer joined MPC Container Ships ASA as CFO in January 2021. Previously, he served as CFOat the Luxembourg-based GARANT Holding International S.A..
Dr. Pfeifer started his career in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice group at Arthur D. Little in Munich. He then joined a single family office as a Portfolio and Investment Manager, where he focused on corporate restructuring and transformation as well as company building and asset management. Later, he became Managing Director/CFO of the German media retailer Weltbild Group.
Dr. Pfeifer holds a Doctorate in Business Administrationfrom the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany, and studied at universities in Sydney and Geneva.Close

Pål Sætre joined MPC Container Ships ASA as EVP – General Manager Norway in June 2021. Previously, he served as CEO for the London based hedge fund platform, AK Jensen Investment Management Ltd.
Mr. Sætre commenced his career as an analyst in the Norwegian Options and Clearinghouse before moving to SEB Enskilda as a Sales Trader. Thereafter he established and headed the capital markets offering for Nasdaq in Oslo, before joining a HNWI company as Director for 2 years. Based in Oslo, Mr. Sætre is responsible for MPC Container Ships’ Capital Market and Corporate Finance division.
Mr. Sætre holds a Master of Arts with Honours in Business and Finance from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.Close
